Professional Events
AXΣ organizes numerous events for our members throughout the semester, including multiple professional events. These events help our members prepare for the professional world and build professional connections. Below, you will find a few examples of the professional events
the Zeta chapter holds each semester.
Facility Tours
Resume Reviews
LinkedIn Workshops
Mock Interviews
Professor Chats
Alumni Panels

Professional Headshots

Many of our members are working on networking while with the chapter. Every semester, we organize a professional photoshoot for students who would like headshots for their LinkedIn and Handshake accounts. Here are a few "behind the scenes" photos of our event!

Professor Chats

Along with the annual Krug Lecture, we also invite University of Illinois professors to speak to us about their research. This is not only a great way to learn more about chemistry and future career paths, but also a great way to network with professors you may be interested in working with in the future! Below are pictures from our discussion with Dr. Ray.

Krug lecture

Every year we host a Krug lecture. This event is open to all University of Illinois students. We invite a professor or researcher to talk about their work. This is a Zeta tradition. If you would like to learn more about Krug, you can find more information under the "About Us" tab. Here are a couple photos from after our 2022 Krug Lecture!
If you have any questions about current or future professional events, please reach out to our chairs at [email protected]
